hey, I'm Ariel
I graduated high school at 16. I thought this was because I was so desperate to start college and get into medical school, but really I think this stemmed from wanting to experience the "real world."
Unfortunately my mom wouldn't let me go away to school at my age. Because my goal was to experience life away from home, I lost my motivation for applying to schools and waited so long that my only option was community college.
I had no idea at the time that it would be one of the greatest experiences of my life.
The place where I thought would be filled with misery turned out to be the place where I found myself. I discovered my passions for leadership, personal growth and helping others. I became so involved that I practically knew everyone on campus!
Then I realized that I was one of the few who found something they were passionate about on campus.
I literally remember someone telling me that they were on campus, but planned to skip class because they were only in college to please their parents. I was shocked to say the least.
Don't get me wrong - college is NOT the only way to be "successful." That's not what I'm getting at. I'm getting at the fact that someone was waisting their time feeling like they needed to do something to be accepted by others in their life.
That was the exact moment it all changed for me. When I started exploring why people felt this way..
From many of the conversations I had, I found a common theme. I heard many share that they felt stuck because they didn't know what to do with their life. Without even realizing it, they were really just so accustomed to living their lives according to society's standards that they lost sight of their own identity.
So I started a blog.
I wanted to help my peers find their fire again. I wanted them to know through personal growth, getting clear on their values, and intentional goal setting that they could pursue their passions in life.
And I want to do the same for you.
